Jamie Hector is a celebrated American actor of Haitian decent, known for his dynamic range and compelling performances across film and television. Jamie trained at the Lee Strasberg theater & film institute in New York and was at the top of the call sheet on Amazon's Bosch, HBO's We Own The City, FreeForm's Bosch Legacy, but is perhaps best known for his portrayal of Marlo Stanfield in the critically acclaimed HBO series The Wire. Jamie is a two time Emmy Award winning a Executive Producer for the sports series, The Story of my Number. He founded Moving Mountains Inc. in 2007, a non-profit theater based organization that provides year round free Arts training for inner-city youth. He is the author of five children's books published by Scholastic publishing. He is married and the proud father of two children.
