Director
Laura Murphy is a writer and director who started her career at MTV making comedy promos and eventually parlayed that into a role as the Co-EP, head writer and director of MTV’s massive hit show "Girl Code." She went on to direct sketch and scripted comedy series such as “Last Week Tonight,” “Awkwafina is Nora From Queens” starring…well, Awkwafina, and most recently “Who Killed Santa; A Murderville Mystery” for Netflix starring Will Arnett, Jason Bateman and Maya Rudolph.
“F Marry Kill,” starring Lucy Hale and Virginia Gardner, is her second feature film following “Cursed Friends,” an ensemble comedy starring Jessica Lowe, Nicole Byer, Harvey Guillen, Andrew Lewis Caldwell plus Will Arnett and Rob Riggle. She is from New York but lives in LA and like everyone else “really only misses fall.”
