Actor
Born in Wisconsin and raised in Sarasota, FL, Steven Krueger first acquired his taste for performing after his mother encouraged him to try an acting class on his first day of high school. He went on to perform in many plays during his teens, however, it wasn’t until after college that he realized he wanted to pursue it professionally.
Despite initially moving to Los Angeles for an internship at a law firm, life had a different plan for Krueger...what began as a two-year break from his pursuit of a career as an attorney resulted in a series of successful roles in television and film. Needless to say, Krueger seemed to be destined for the spotlight.
Currently, Krueger stars as Coach Ben Scott in Showtime’s smash hit and twice Emmy nominated series Yellowjackets. Previous credits include the likes of The Originals, Roswell, New Mexico, Good Trouble, Pretty Little Liars, NCIS, Hawaii Five- O, and Columbia Pictures’ blockbuster film Goosebumps, amongst numerous others. He’s also been named one of E!’s TOP TEN SCENE STEALERS on TV.
Recently Krueger has expanded his creative endeavors, getting behind the camera as Director and Executive Producer of a short film, Leaving the Light. The film was recently shot in Atlanta and is currently in post-production, with the aim of premiering at film festivals later this year.
Outside of work, Krueger currently resides in Nashville, TN. Having been a competitive tennis player for fifteen years, and one who excelled in sports in his youth, his love for physical activity outdoors remains. He enjoys golf, pickleball, hiking, backpacking, mountain climbing, and just about anything that proves to be adventurous. If he’s not traveling somewhere for work, there’s a good chance you can find him in an exotic location around the globe as he explores new countries, continents, and cultures in his free time.
On the philanthropic front, Krueger regularly volunteers with Habitat for Humanity, following in his father’s footsteps, who has worked with the organization for over 35 years.
